Welcome to Clinton Public School

Principal - Don Rauser Welcome to Clinton Public School – home of the Cougars!

Clinton Public School is a beautiful, freshly renovated school serving 270 students from kindergarten (Full Day Learning) to grade eight, including a Section 23 day treatment class. Our staff of 31 committed educators works very hard to ensure all students, parents and community members feel welcomed and respected in our building. Learning is a responsibility shared by the school, students, home and community. We invite you to get involved in Clinton Public School as a volunteer or perhaps a school council member. Being involved in your child’s school is one of the best things you can do for their education.

In terms of professional learning, our staff will continue to work to refine our teaching practices for math and, for our youngest students, how to problem solve with friends.   Our school will also be continuing to focus on creating the most positive, inclusive learning environment possible in which every child, volunteer, parent and staff member has a valued place.

CPS is an integral member of the Central Huron community. Our facility is open to community partners, service groups, and sports organizations so that they can offer a variety of events and activities to all age groups in the Clinton area.  Two of our most prominent partners, located directly within our building, are The Clinton Cooperative Childcare Centre and the Ontario Early Years program.  Both organizations offer high quality programming for children and families.

We look forward to making 2013/2014 the best year yet for the students at Clinton Public School! Once again, I invite you to come in and visit our school, or better yet, get involved in a great place to learn!
